Description
Super clean, rust-free 78 F250 with 137k original miles. 400 engine, C6 automatic transmission. All original condition, original paint and body. Body, drive line and interior all in amazingly good shape. Dash has no cracks and door panels, floor mat and seat are in good shape. Seat has one tear right at the seam near the middle.
Ranger XLT Package as well as Camper Special Package. Tilt wheel and cruise control(not currently working). Power steering and brakes. It's a Montana truck, so no factory A/C, but has a high output heater! Dual fuel tanks. I am currently running on rear tank as switch over valve does not always move to front tank; it does so intermittently. Fuel gage reads properly for each tank. Temperature gage not currently working; I believe it is the sending unit, an easy fix. All other gages work properly. Windshield has a crack in it.
Starts, runs and drives great. Engine runs strong and does not smoke or leak oil. Transmission shifts great. I just did an oil change and replaced air filter. Small vibration at 60, goes away at 65. Driveline is tight, no worn u-joints and center support for driveshaft is solid. Possibly a tire balance issue. Other than that, no issues.
I actually sold this a few months back on Ebay, but the buyer decide to buy my 4 wheel drive 78 instead, so I have re-listed it. I feel it could be driven anywhere. I drive it a few days a week to work and back. Gets lots of stares and thumbs up. Please email with any questions or call me at (406)539-4500.
