Description
1977 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Package High Boy.4.10 gears, Dana 60 rear limited slip. Mostly original with minimal mods. 4-speed manual, 4x4.
Factory AC truck with power steering. Two tone SEM satin black paint with metallic charcoal sides was added in 2020. This is not a show truck paint job but is a good 20 footer. Spent most all of it's life in Alabama. This is as close to a rust-free high boy as you will find. That's the reason I bought it.
Transmission shifts well and clutch is tight. Cold starts with no problem. Recently had full inspection in November by local Ford tech, checked all mechanical and 4wd components and replaced all new:
- Master cylinder
- Wheel cylinders
- Brake kit
- Full tune up with plugs and wires
- New drive shaft (balanced), new u-joints and yoke
- Valve cover gasket
- Fresh oil change, filters
- R134A conversion kit, AC adapter + AC recharge
- New front windshield
- New headliner
- New magna flow exhaust in 2020
- Other items completed in 2020 = New carb, new alternator, belts, exhaust manifold gaskets, new shocks, new gas tank, new coil
- Dual batteries
- West Coast mirrors
- New dash pad, glove box
Factory engine was a 351m.Previous owner states this truck has a 400. I have not confirmed stroke. So selling it as a 351m and if it is a 400, then it is your gain.
The body is in great shape with a few dings to note as shown in the pics. Right front (on the grill and right front fender) and dent above the right tail light. Previous owner put a backup alarm in (yours to remove if you don't like it).Original color was jade green. See the Marti report in photos. My next moves now that all of the mechanical is sound was to redo the interior. All this truck needs is new carpet and a bench seat cover to be a nice daily driver.
