This truck is my baby. I've done so much to make it my dream machine. A blacked out killer.
Unfortunately, after spending a very large amount of time and money to turn this into a KILLER truck, I can no longer afford to fix a problem it's having. I noticed last month that it has trouble on cold starts and takes about 10 minutes to warm up. After 10 minutes, it still drives like a dream. I took it to the dealer for a diagnosis this week and they said that the head gasket is likely bad and is the reason for the long warm up time during cold starts. The coolant was low (which makes sense) too.
I had cancer last year, and luckily I survived. Unfortunately, however, the mounting medical bills have made it impossible for me to pay to have this new issue fixed -- especially after all the money I've spent already on upgrades. It's a shame, because I actually was in the process of bulletproofing this 6.0 by doing the EGR Delete and even replacing the transmission (That's right, it has a brand new Jasper trans in it with a 100,000 mile warranty). Studs were next on my list, but I guess I was too late. I'm hoping that someone who either doesn't mind paying to get the head gasket replaced or is a mechanic and could do it on the cheap would buy this because it's seriously an AWESOME truck. If you shop wisely, you could have the gasket done for 2.5-3k, and I am pricing this auction accordingly.
The truck rides better than stock, straight as an arrow. It's FAST too, and I will be throwing the SCT Tuner in with the truck for free :-)
