Ford F-350 King Ranch, runs and drives fine, just towed my camper a few weeks ago with no problems,
it does however need some work done and I don't want to mess with it just upgrading to a new truck instead. KNOWN issues: Windshield wiper motor bad just happened. Some vibration under load at slow speeds, most likely due to the new carrier bearing I put on it. There is also some vibration when cold however it smooths out when warmed up.
THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE DOES NOT ENGAGE, MECHANIC SAYS THIS IS DUE TO THE MOTOR THAT ENGAGES IT, HOWEVER IT COULD BE MORE SERIOUS. BOTH FRONT LOCKING HUBS ARE TWO YEARS OLD.
Had to replace factory hitch, the new one is only a 5k so be aware of that if your going to tow with it. Tires are 40% id say but still good but need replaced soonish.
Turbo is less than a two years old, had it deleted when turbo was replaced, it wasn't having issues just did it while the turbo was off. Its a welded delete so EGR is still present it just doesn't do anything.
It is not studded, however No head gasket issues, over pressure or overheating at all. 05 and 06 are not as susceptible to that issue anyway.
She has an oil leak my Mechanic says its the oil sending unit haven't bothered to fix it, its a huge pain apparently. I change the oil every 5k and its not below the line by then. But it does pee in the driveway.
Truck bed was replaced in 2018 spare tire is stuck in the up position since then. Cab has some rust but bed is still rust free as far as I know.
Radiator is new about 2 years as well along with tensioner pully and belt. Pully and belt are less than a year old. Bottom charge air cooler boot is new, top one still needs done.
Driver side heated seat heat is not working all other power seat options are working.
Adjustable pedals do not function no idea why.
AC is cold, heat is hot.
Dual Alternators both checked 6 months ago and working fine.
It is an 05 it certainly has issues I don't know about bid accordingly, as is where is. There is a small lien on it(2900), will pay off same day as payment and send you title overnight fedex when I get it. 270,000 miles. Its actually 268,000 or so but I still drive it daily.
Brakes rotors and calipers have less than 15k on them.
Truck repairs since 2018 when I bought it have been done by a certified ford diesel mechanic with 30 years of experience. If you know about 6.0Ls always use a certified diesel mechanic with experience with that engine. This is my third 6.0l trust me.
Again AS-IS WHERE IS. It has 270,000 miles, I am doing my best to describe every issue I know about bid accordingly, If I think of or find out others I will revise listing.
Underside of cab has rust, one pic included both sides look similar.
