Description

1966 Ford Fairlane 500 2dr post club coupe (sedan) R code clone-replica-tribute take your pick, not a real R code or a vintage 427, if it was there would be a 1 in front of the price.
Started out as a T code 6cyl auto. This is an original radio delete car (no hole in the fender) for an antenna. Body is in very good condition, paint not show but in nice condition. Stainless has been professionally polished, bumpers re-chromed, light bezels professionally polished, grill parts are also in very good condition. Door panels, seats are in nice condition. The headliner has been professionally replaced, the carpet could be replaced but I have not done that yet. Block #C6ME-A this block casting was used for 390, 410 and 428 cubic inch engines. I do not know the exact cubic inch measurement. This is not a vintage 427 engine.e
Head casting # both C6AE U. Intake manifold Ford original cast iron Big S C6AE9425G,
Exhaust is thru Doug's full-length headers. Data plate VIN#6K41T260491. Body 62B Fairlane 500 2dr coupe sedan with the post. Color code K dark blue met-night mist blue. Date 24F – June 24, DSO twin cities, Axie 6, trans 6, C-6 automatic. 9” open rear, I don’t know the ratio. +Front disc Kelsey Hayes 4 piston brakes, real 2.5” drum. Cal-Trac bars, frame connectors, and driveshaft loop. Odometer shows 66,199, I believe to be original.
The car was probably raced in its early years but has been in the pasture and on the cruise circuit since then.
Tires Goodyear 205 R70 15 wheels are Ford 15 X 6, new Goodyear tire in trunk KELSEY Hayes Ford wheel 15 X 6.
Car does not have power brakes or steering, I was going to add both but after driving for a while I didn’t think that was necessary.
Again this is not a real R code or a vintage 427, still a very nice car and by my standards very quick. I am selling this car due to health reasons.
Any questions please let me know.
