2001 AU Series 2 Fairlane
Very Low reserve for a Duel Fuel V8 Series 2 with only 160,647 km's
Sparkling Burgundy paint. Great black leather interior. A very tidy car. Near new tyres - good brakes.
The reason I am selling this car which has a low reserve - is the engine does need work.
There is a misfire in the engine, which I thought was intake manifold gaskets . I went ahead and installed new gaskets but has not fixed the misfire.
I think it is either a burnt valve or a head gasket but I am not sure.
It does not overheat and still has heaps of power and the oil is very clean .
Could be a simple fix but I do not have the time to investigate it further so I am selling the car as is.
You will have to take this into account when buying the car and do the sums to work out what price you are prepared to pay.
THE GOOD
Great paint work
Very clean car - see photos
Near new tyres
Good Brakes
Great Black leather interior
Duel Fuel- works on both petrol and gas- Gas installed in 2013
Should not need much for a RWC after the engine is fixed
Single din radio cd with a remote
THE BAD
Engine misfire
Small dent near petrol cap, some small scratches here and there on bumpers and some panels
Needs a drivers seat belt clip
May need some bushes in suspension
Unregistered and no RWC
