Description

Hi and welcome to my sale of my falcon. First off It will come with a new Victorian roadworthy so that's the major headache of buying a used car bypassed but no rego unless paid for separately. I've had over 2.5 years of hassle free motoring out of it and am absolutely gutted to be selling. I had a bad accident at work a few months ago so haven't used the car much in that time and now I work from home I no longer need a newer car like this The fact that I'm still paying it off monthly doesn't help me either as the purse strings are tight after having 10 months off work and starting a business. Please see the end of this description re: the finance.
This car was built October 2009 but first registered February 2010. It's been my baby for the whole time that I've owned it always being fastidiously cleaned and cared for, (Even the engine bay.) Was kept garaged until march this year. Low K's at 58741, Proven via its service history. This won't go up until I take the car for its roadworthy.
I checked out many different xr6's as I didn't want any old cheap crap before settling for this one from my local ford dealer. I completely agree there are cheaper cars out there but if you're looking for a great car like I did then I highly recommend you take a look at mine. It's not brand new so of course it has a few marks. Small stone chips on the bonnet as shown in second from last photo, the boot has the smallest of small dinks under the spoiler as shown in the last picture and scratches on drivers side skirt. No pic of this but it's under the car. The car will have a full cut and polish before it goes to its new owner so any wispy marks in the photos will be eradicated.
The car drives perfectly. The engine and gearbox perform faultlessly with no leaks or undue noises. No squeaks from the suspension and the brakes have plenty of meat on them. Mechanically this car is completely standard. The wheels are near immaculate, from memory one has the slightest of marks on it Not gutter rash though. Tyres are roadworthy. The interior is immaculate. It has the upgrade stereo system, 6 disc changer and aux input for your mp3/iPhone etc music. The car benefits greatly from the colour screen upgrade! Way better than the standard one, not a cheap upgrade at all. I've also fitted a parrot Bluetooth kit, it loves connecting to iPhones unlike the ford hands free system. (Check the forums.) It is a plug and play system with zero wires cut or mutilated. The screen was stuck to the dash with Velcro tape but it got ruined over the last summer. I will refit the screen to any position the new owner wants. (The old tape has left no marks at all.)
The seats are as unmarked as when I first bought the car and floor mats have been used always.
The car has wanted for nothing. It has full service history from ford up until my accident when I took it off the road. It has been regularly started and moved to keep everything moving and free. For the new owner I will give it a full service including oil, oil & air filters, swap wheels back to front and front to back, brake and coolant fluids swap and clean the spark plugs plus anything else that requires work for free. I am an ex Vauxhall mechanic from the UK and have worked here so yes I do know what I'm doing before you question me. The book will be stamped by me keeping the history up to date. Bar standard servicing all I've had to spend out on is one headlight globe and a new battery I've spent more on cleaning products. Lol. It's been the best and most reliable car I've ever owned. The previous owner was Telstra so I'll imagine whoever drove it for them was well over P plate age and I'm 36 with two young children so it's never been hooned about in. This car has never failed to put a smile on my face, the smoothness of its power and yet how quiet it is. I have a weekend car which has performance mods etc, I wanted my everyday car to be quiet, smooth and reliable. All boxes ticked with my falcon!
As I've already stated the car will come with a new Victorian roadworthy, a full exterior cut and polish and I will detail the interior. It'll be as close to new as possible for whoever has the intelligence to buy a car on its quality merits rather than its cheap price due to higher K's or parts falling off!
Now as much as I need to sell it I'm not desperate and I certainly won't take lowball offers. The money from this sale needs to go towards paying its finance off. If I've still got it in a couple of months time and my new business takes off I'll just keep it. (I'm starting a car wrapping business.) if you're interested in a wrapped bonnet and roof in matte black or suedo carbon fibre I can sort it out for a great price.
I am happy for you to inspect the car at your leisure but I will not be allowing people to plug their $5 eBay computer readers into my car. I have a good one if you require this. If you wish to use a professional inspection then any fees associated with it lay solely at your wallet pocket
I will not let anyone take the car out for a test drive until they are very interested in the car and it's the last part of the sale. Having said that I'm happy to take anyone out in it if I'm driving. I never even let my wife drive it! Ha. I can borrow a mates trade plate for this.
Before bidding please come and view the car. Don't bid on a car that you've never seen in the flesh. I wouldn't do it on a $500 bomb let alone a car at this price range. You bid and win, you buy. Simple as that.
Please also bare in mind that I go on holiday on 11th august for 7 weeks so if it's not sold by the 2/08/14 it will be withdrawn from sale until I get back. I reiterate I need to sell it but I'm not desperate. Finance is owed on it and I make no secret of it. It is with capital finance and I'm happy for any potential buyer to speak to them in my presence to put any worries at rest. I completely understand that the new owner may not want to give me the cash for the car outright so the monies will be paid to capital finance and in their possession before I release the car. My falcon will be going in for its roady sometime soon so you won't need to wait long before getting the keys.
If there is anything in this listing you don't agree with then you of course have the right to not bid/buy or you can have a chat with me and sort something out.
For any questions please message me your phone no through eBay and I'll happily call you at a suitable time set by you.
Sorry for the war and peace description her but the usual 10 words I see on most peoples ads just wouldn't do my car justice.
There is to be a $500 deposit to be paid before the roadworthy certificate is obtained. The rest is to be paid on receipt of the certificate. The car will be released when the finance company has been paid by the buyer. This is non negotiable,
Due to the money going to the finance company please do any relevant checks you need to as there will be no refund available on this car no matter what the reason.
Thanks for looking and I hope I've not bored you with my long description. Please check out my other eBay items. Thanks
