Description
We are most happy to present this 1965 Ford Falcon Sedan Delivery. Ford produced 687 total for 1965 including the deluxe model. These bodies are extremely rare in production terms. Most were used as delivery trucks for phone companies, flower shops, and other light duty deliveries. There is a great deal of room in the rear cargo area for whatever your heart desires. No coffins please.
The Falcon is set up on a 1988 Ranger 4x4 chassis with the 2.9 efi V6, automatic overdrive transmission, power steering and front power disc brakes. It is titled in my name in the state of Oregon as a 1965 Ford Falcon 2 door. The odometer shows 59K and change miles and they are original to the chassis. We had to rebuild the automatic at a cost of 1064.00 less than 120 miles ago. It works perfectly well and has a warranty by the transmission shop. We installed new exhaust and rear shocks. The body has no rust that we can see and the underside is completely done. When we replaced the electric fuel pump with an OEM pump we fabricated a small access hole in the cargo area covered by a metal plate and carpet for easy R&R. I would trust this rascal across the country now. We installed brand new all terrain tires on factory alloy wheels. I don't believe the sedan delivery needs anything at all other than the air conditioning switch under the hood. It's winter here so we haven't given air cond. much thought but it is complete and functional when the switch is jumped.
We retained the original ranger XLT dash and seating and the electrical is fully functional. The console houses the switch on the fly 4x4 buttons and drink tray. The 4x4 works well.
The paint is red and that's all I can say. It's single stage and the body is fairly straight but there is filler in places. Our magnet stuck everywhere on the body. A close inspection would be advised to make sure the fit, finish, and mechanical functions are up the bidder's standards before the auction ends. After the auction is NOT the time to start negotiating over issues or price. The Falcon "is what it is" and nothing more than a cool unique 4x4.
DISCLAIMERS: The above described 1965 Falcon Sedan delivery is advertised and sold in "as is" and "where is" condition. It is the responsibility of the buyer/bidder to ascertain the fit, finish, and mechanical quality of the Falcon before bidding or buying. If there are additional questions needing answers or you need to set up an inspection appointment feel free to contact us at [email protected]. The Falcon will only be available through eBay via Hogboy 44 . There are additional pics at our em2cool website. Thank You for reading this far and GOOD LUCK!
