2004 BA XLS V8 MANUAL UTE
I have owned this ute for about 16 months now, as I purchased it off a close friend of mine who was the original owner from new. The main reason that I got this ute was to keep the km's off my BF XR8 which i'm trying to keep in as nice condition as possible.
However, I have recently bought an RTV to suit my cross country purposes and no longer require this one.
When I bought this ute, it had around 250,000kms on the clock, now currently has 280,000 although it isn't the original motor. The original motor when I got it was already very tired and was fouling plugs due to a couple of cylinders having collapsed rings.
The replacement motor has around 75,000kms on the clock, and has the wreckers yard receipts with it which you'll need for registration.
The uite comes with everything needed to build it back down to standard, although all the extras that it comes with are worth well more than i'm asking.
As it sits, its currently out of rego, but since its only just run out, I can renew the Victorian rego for an agreed extra cost if required.
This is a very well known ute, made famous by the previous owner and has a lot of character to show. I'm told it's also the first BA ute in Australia to have a 5 post bullbar on it.
The ute features;
4 Inch Boomer 5 post bullbar with extra droppers + 2 x 6 foot UHF aerials not pictured (all the standard front included too)
7 Narva bull lights (4 currently fitted and 3 for the bullbar)
Kenwood CD player
2 6x9 kenwood speakers
2 6.5 kenwood speakers
2 12 inch subwoofers
Musical airhorns
Bug deflector
Twin 2.5 inch mandrel bent truck stacks (standard exhaust included)
Tool boxes mounted under the tray
Traysides and rear tradie rack
Near new clutch
GME UHF
Tyres around 2000kms old
The ute also comes with the original motor on the back, mated up to a spare Tremec 5 speed manual which has lost 5th gear but 1,2,3,4 and reverse still function.
Basically I kept driving this ute until the motor was using more oil than fuel, and until I got sick of changing fouled plugs. I got on eBay and bought a low km replacement motor, fitted it up and has done around 300kms running it in but has sat parked since. Starts first time, everytime.
The ute is located near geelong, and can be viewed at anytime.
