Ibought this in January from an old chap in Sydney who bought it fromhis other older mate yes it's rough looking, but it drives awesomely!
Ihad it put through a blue slip inspection in january after traileringit from sydney, with instructions to tell me everything that's aroadworthy problem, and all it needed was a pair of rear shocks, rearpads, and an exhaust. I bought all these, brand new standard quiet dualmuffler cat-back exhaust fitted ($300), slightly used aftermarket pairof rear shocks from a wrecker, and put new pads in the rear. Discs areok too, and there's more then half of the front pads left.
Cardoes not use oil, does not overheat, starts perfectly every time,especially seeing it also has a $200 near new battery with nationwidewarranty for another 3 years! and the receipt to use it!
Theheater works like a furnace, the demister works on the windscreen, theCRUISE works like a new one, it has a great stereo allowing automaticbluetooth connection when the car is turned on, playing music AND takingphonecalls, as well as an AUX porthole to plug players or phoneswithout bluetooth in, and it has a BENCH FRONT SEAT, so you can strap 6people in! The carpets are almost like new, as are the seats. It is avery tidy car as far as driving it goes, does drive exceedinglystraight, has excellent tyres and all the windows wind down manually.
Theautomatic shifts very well, cold and warm. We just did 2 trips frommorisset near newcastle to parramatta and back on one tank, carrying aHEAP of stuff and 3 people in the front, no problems.
Next thing to do will be a wheel balance, normal stuff, and will likely be done by the time you come to look at the car.
Carhas a towbar too, low duty one, so you know it hasn't towed a caravanaround the country. Car will suit running bigger family around, going towork, tradie taking tools, etc.
Yes the ceiling lining sags,and yes the aircon is blown (regassing alone won't fix this apparently,but hey it's winter anyway LOL) and he'd hit some things carparking atthe shops, so he'd changed the front bumper and bonnet to a straight setwith peeling paint of a different colourand the rear bumper hasdamage too..Body also has some scratches, nothing too serious though suits it's purpose as aworkhorse. It has only a 50cent sized bit of rust on driver's side lower rear, nothing too serious. It's no showcar LOL.
I am reselling it simply as we have grabbed somemore money and decided to buy one which will require less work, as I amnow timepoor LOLand I do not wish to spend any more money on thisone beacuse of the aircon primarily, but do now need one which is betterpresented for our small business. I'll be after a BF with low Ks, soit's not that I think there's anything wrong with these falcons inparticular :)
I bought this as a workhorse, and am happy tokeep driving it until it sells for around the listed price, so don'tbother with silly offers. Not many cars will strap in 6 in a wagon anddrive well .I'd have no hesitation jumping in and driving tomelbourne.
