Genuine 1972 XY GT.
Why buy a replica when you can own and drive the real thing ! This is a genuine South African Fairmont XY GT (33 Body and running gear) with factory power steering, air conditioning, Vinyl roof. Car has been stripped to bare metal with any rust removed and weld repaired and painted diamond white clear over base coat, motor has been rebuilt to standard specs with a mild cam by (Horse Power engineering) with no more than 1,000 ks done . Original autolite carburettor and distributor both rebuilt. FMX gearbox rebuilt. 9 inch diff .New interior (seats carpet roof lining). Power steering pump and ram assembly rebuilt.
Original dash, gauges, crash pad and steering wheel. Original national radio and dash clock. New door and boot rubbers .This car has been set up for every day driving and does not overheat in heavy traffic. A good highway cruiser with the 2.75 diff ratio. A nice car to drive and set up for trouble free everyday driving .21/2 inch exhaust with extractors.Car now fitted with Globe wheels.
