Description
1978 XC Falcon 500. Ex Police Interceptor. (Factory 5.8 ltr engine, FMX auto + 9” diff when new).
Currently running:
393 c.i Cleveland, Ford Motorsport A3 aluminium heads, 3 crank centre caps fabricated steel billet.
Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam 304RF-HR10, .612”lift int + exh, 245 degrees duration int + exh, 106 ICL,110 LSA.
Ford Motor Sport "Jack Roush" manifold. 950 dp Demon carb.
MSD Electronic ignition with adjustable rev limiter.
Extractors, 2 1⁄2” exhaust.
Fully manualised reverse pattern C6 auto, raybestos clutches, 4000 stall converter.
9“ traction lok diff with 4.11 gears and caltracs.
Best 1⁄4 mile 11.76 at 117mph with solid flat tappet cam. Not raced with new roller cam. 430 rwhp. Will do better with better extractors.
Runs on 98 pulp. Very streetable.
Car had all new panels including bonnet, guards, boot and door skins when painted by Chris Blake. It is very very close to show condition. Immaculate body, project vehicle for over 25 years. Rust is alien to this vehicle.
