2003 Ford Falcon XT 4sp Auto. Representing good value for money.

Up for sale is our well loved family sedan. We have serviced the car regularly and have done all the repairs necessary to keep the car roadworthy and reliable with the most recent repairs being to repace all the shock absorbers, the master brake cylinder and a new set of tyres (all within the last 12 months and is basically the majority of the $1400 asking price, I have a lot of receipts to support repairs and servicing.) Other repairs along the way have been the power steering hose and front disks. All the other times in the garage have been for routine services. I have been more then happy with the guys that we have been using to maintain the car and both companies have been looking after the mechanical side and tyres for the last 10 years.
It is also only fair that I list the not so good news. At the moment if I was keeping the car these are the items I would like to fixed:- When I go to start the car in 'Park' sometimes the engine does not start, simply by putting the car in 'Neutral' is enough for the car to then start.- The window washer bottle has a crack in it and does not hold water.- The roof lining has let go and either needs re-glueing or replacing.- The right had front door keeps unlocking, I have a purchased a new remote and have not had the chance to investigate why the door lock is engaging but this does need a bit of attention.- The rear right hand side and rear bumper bar the clear coat has started to peel. I know this is only cosmetic however it would be better to have it touched up.- I would consider a new battery for Winter (the one in it is ok but is over a couple of years old now.)
To end on a good note the car has only only let me down once in the ten years we have owned it when the master brake cylinder let go and the current registration doesnt run out until 16th of June 2016.
In summary you are buying a car that is strong mechanically with no oil leaks or serious concerns, has been well maintained and runs well. Cosmetically the exterior needs a bit of touch up with the interior overall being in good shape and clean apart from the roof lining needing to be reglued or replaced. The car is fitted with a towbar making the perfect second car for the odd time you need a trailor. The car has been a very good car for us and naturally it will be sad to see her go to a new home but it is not worth having it sit in the garage either.
