Description
For sale 1965 Ford Falcon Futura 4-door.
Sadly, I have to send me Falcon to a new home. I bought this car in 2007 and it was my daily driver until 2012 when I moved abroad. Since then she has sat covered in my dad’s driveway. I hate to part with her but as I am not moving stateside soon it’s time.
Lemme go through the top details here in a bulleted list. I’m gonna try and put everything out there but if I miss something don’t hesitate to message!!
Specs:1965 Ford Falcon Futura 4 door Sedan
Engine: 200 cu in (3.3 L) inline six
Transmission: 3-speed automatic
InteriorSeats and headliner in great condition - no rips or other issues
Carpet is good
All seats front and back have seat-belts (5 total). Lap belts in back and shoulders up front. One of the rear belts is original from the front seat. The other original belt is included as well.
Original AM radio (working)
Stereo and speakers - I installed a stereo system (CD, radio and aux) but didn’t want to mess with the original look. 2 rear speakers are in the rear shelf (behind the seat under the rear window) and there are 2 more in a custom enclosure between the driver and passenger seats (easily removeable).
ExteriorOriginal paint - all in good condition. Minor rust spots and areas where touch up has been used
Chrome in good (but faded) condition - bumpers are mostly rust free (minor spots)
Wheels need repainting
Original hubcaps
Windshield crack - (see pictures)
Dent in the hood - while I was overseas a tree limb fell on the hood and left a dent (see pictures)
Tires in Rough Shape - the car has been sitting so most likely the tires will need replacing
Misc Notes:Working condition when I left - she was my daily driver right up until I caught a flight abroad. My intention was to be abroad for 2 years (Peace Corps) and then return and pick up where I left off. To accomplish this I left a checklist outlining the steps I took to store the car to be worked in reverse. Stabil in the gas tank, took apart the carb (had a bad experience with a sinking float once when I let her sit for a month), etc. All was working great. Car has been stored outside under multiple car covers or in a garage since then.
Great daily driver - this car was my daily driver meaning she was very mechanically sound. Additionally I regularly drove between Atlanta and the DC area (home and school) without significant problems.
All seats front and back have seat-belts (5 total). Lap belts in back and shoulders up front. One of the rear belts is original from the front seat. The other original belt is included as well.
Headers - I installed exhaust headers after my 4th manifold blew out yet another gasket. This was really the only reoccurring problem with the car and since installing the headers it’s been great.
Suspension Work - I beefed up the suspension a bit with an additional leaf spring in the back and an aftermarket stabilizer bar (sway bar).
The previous owner replaced the gas tank which still looks brand new. Additionally they sprayed on some kind of rustproofing / protection on the underside but I could not speak to what kind
Logistics:Pickup locally or buyer arranged transport
