Description
For sale by owner:
2014 Ford Fiesta ST in Tuxedo Black Metallic
VIN: 3FADP4GX4EM182528
1.6L turbo EcoBoost four-cylinder engine making 197hp and 214 lb-ft of torque
6 speed manual gearbox
Approximately 75,900 miles
Everything works. Nothing is broken. No check engine or other dash lights. You could absolutely buy it and drive it home.
It was a manufacturer buyback, then resold by Ford of Convington, whom I purchased it from. The reason for the manufacturer buyback was a gearbox defect that the original owner reported. As a result, it got a brand new gearbox from Ford at around 16,000 miles. I bought the car with about 22,000 miles and have put a little over 50,000 miles on it, and personally I've had absolutley zero issues with the gearbox. Autocheck and Carfax list it as a “branded title” due to the manufacturer buyback, aka “Lemon law title”, but I have a clean Georgia title.
I bumped into the back of another car while waiting at a stop sign several years ago, which I can provide photos of to illustrate the extent of the damage. It was repaired by Classic Collision of Alpharetta. The front bumper was replaced. Nothing else was damaged.
I have made a few small changes to the car, mostly with parts purchased from Mountune, a UK based Ford tuner, however the car is essentially stock otherwise. The short shift kit did make a noticeable improvement over the stock shift throw, and the lower engine mount aka “Roll restrictor mount” or “torque mount” was changed to satisfy a known defect with these cars from the factory. The factory rubber mount is far too soft and fails prematurely. The Mountune unit is of high durometer polyurethane construction to much more effectively handle the engine torque. No engine modifications have been made. Oil changes with Ford Motorcraft oil every 3 to 4 thousand miles. It has been well maintained and kept in a garage as long as I’ve owned it, so no paint fade. The interior is extremely clean and shows almost no signs of wear. There is one small dent on the driver’s side rear door. See attached photo. That's about it for visible defects. I have the stock wheels to go with the car, however two of them are curb-rashed from the previous owner.
This car is a blast and is by far the most fun car I have ever owned, and I will miss it dearly, but I bought a bigger car to make room for a growing family. I have priced it well below similar mileage Fiesta ST's simply because I know the Manufacturer Buyback title will put some people off. The way I see it, if you can look past that, you are actually getting a car with 75k miles with a gearbox that only has about 59k on it.
Happy bidding!
