2001 Ford Fiesta Zetec-S
Track/Project car
The time has come for me to part with my 2001 Fiesta Zetec-S. I bought this car in June 2010, and used it as a daily driver for 10 months. I then bought a pick up, and the Fiesta became a project car/weekend toy. Due to time constraints and other commitments over the last 4 years, it has only been driven on the odd occasion, and never for more than a few miles at a time. It has been extensively modified, and track prepared, with the majority of the work having been carried out within the first 18months of ownership. The full list of modifications are as follows;
Interior:
· Fully stripped
· Carbon fibre door cards
· Cobra bucket seats
· 4 point racing harnesses (brand new)
· Removable steering wheel
· Fire extinguisher
Exterior:
· Cold Air feed
· Phase 2 Zetec-s alloy wheels (5th alloy wheel & tyre included)
· Front bumper modified to increase airflow to radiator
· Fog lights removed
· Bonnet clips
· Towing straps
· Front grill removed due to installation of Oil cooler
Chassis:
· Gaz GHA coilovers
· Polybushed rear beam
· Ford Racing Puma front bushes
· Hi-Spec 4 pot big brake kit
· Braided front lines
· Front track increased by 10mm
Engine:
· Full Miltek stainless steel exhaust (Manifold, De-Cat & Cat back)
· Oil cooler
· Samco Hoses
· Ford Racing Puma gearbox (brand new when fitted, less than 3000 miles now on gearbox)
· Modified factory airbox, with K&N panel filter
· Launch control (switch not wired in)
The car runs and drives fine, and was MoT’d in August (expires 25th August 2016). Due to the recent change in Tax laws this car is now SORN, however it can be taxed immediately upon purchase should you wish to do so. This is by no means a show car, and as the focus was entirely on performance the exterior of the car needs a bit of TLC, as there are some chips in the paintwork and rust bubbles on the rear arches. The floor has had recent welding work done to it as a few small holes had appeared. This is a great little car, is mechanically sound, and a perfect track project which has had the right modifications carried out. There is a Custom Cages Weld in cage that comes with the car. It has not been installed but is brand new and is ready to go in the car. I have loads of receipts which will come with the car also. Car is bought as seen, cash on collection only.
