SPARES OR REPAIR
We bought this for my daughter 13/01/2015 and she has been driving it since, it is a lovely looking car but unfortunately looks can be deceiving. We bought it knowing it was an accident repair I think a CAT D and it is noted on log book, but all had been repaired and was told it was minor front wing damage, and looking at the car this story was all believable and car seemed perfect.
But since we have had the car lots of warning notes were coming up in the centre console info box like air bag servicing required, ABS servicing required etc., etc.
So as the MOT was becoming due, a couple of months ago we took the car to a ford dealer to get it check out, he said the car had been completely bogged up and all of the air bags had been deployed or were missing altogether and the dash light cluster has had the warning LED lights removed, when we asked how much to put right he quoted £2,500. We could not aford this on top of what we had paid for the car so did not repair and didn’t get as far as the ABS problem but this could be just where the dash has been messed with as brakes seem to work ok. So since then have been saving up to replace the car for her we have now found her replacement and need to get rid of this one.
My daughter did have an argument with a gate post and there is now damage to the rear wheel arch on passenger’s side see pictures.
Car has 1 months MOT left and engine and gearbox perfectly sound drives really well, the mileage is 84,775 miles and would make for a good donor car for spares, it has four good tyres and very good alloys, so must be worth the starting price just in spares parts.
