Description
Transferred ownership of this car to my daughter a year ago (I had owned it for about 6 months before that) but she has decided she doesn't want to learn at the moment - busy planning to get married or something Economic to run, low insurance group, decent road tax.
I bought the car as a stop gap between owning a Multipla (6 seats) and a Touran (7 seats) so, as they are bred tall in our family, was intent on finding a five door, 5 seat version to fit as many in as possible - and one made do with an Oyster card. Have been very impressed with it since, hence passing it on first to the family.
It is the Finesse model which means you have the convenience of manual windows for exercise and four of them for a hot day. However, don't let that put you off as it is very nippy around town, turns on a button and is painted red - which apparently helps it go faster! It also has a decent stereo / CD player in it. However, a looong time after buying it we had the CAM Belt done and realised we didn't have the code to restart the radio. This requires removing the radio, checking the serial number and going online to get the four digits. £25 to do - which I can do for you for £25 on top of the agreed price.
Decent drive on the motorway - comfortable 70+ depending on your adherence to the highway code - and that is under a full load as I said, lanky family
Just past the MOT a couple of days ago. 2 advisories - one is for minor corrosion on a pipe, the other for play in the rack but the good thing about getting one of these is there is a wealth of supply for parts - new and from breakers (not that we have needed them - worked out we've done 8000 miles in 18 months!)
Apart from that the only cosmetic problems are a small cig burn on the back seat which hasn't got worse the whole time we have had it (just visible in the back seat photo), A very minor bump on the driver's side wheel arch that you may be able to see in the photo (a week old - Morrison's car park - drat!) and when you look hard you can just see the driver's door is a very slightly different shade of red (again check the pics - you will have to strain). A few stamps in the book before we had it, and receipts for some work on and off during our ownership. On such a low mileage it hasn't needed much. However CAM Belt done last summer.
Oh, and if it's important to you, both sun visors have mirrors on the back for you and your passenger to check you make-up / stubble as you see fit.
Any test drive / check up welcome before auction ends. If you are local I can point you to the mechanic if you want to investigate further!
The car is advertised elsewhere so reserve the right to end the auction early. Deposit via PayPal end of auction, or turn up to collect with full amount.
A nice little car with a reserve not far off the start price. Not the cheapest, not the newest, but definitely worth the money. Any questions please ask, but no daft offers please. - Thanks, Ian
