GENERAL BACKGROUND
I purchased the car from Valley Ford in Saint Louis, Missouri on 26 January 2006. I am the original owner; the car has 124,500 miles. It is a Pitch-Black base model Focus ZX3. The only option is air conditioning and still blows cold. I have driven 90% of the miles on the highway. The car has been well maintained with oil changes and tire rotations every 3,000 miles. The car is solid, hugs the road and is quick for its class. Overall, a very nice daily driver with some fun added in for those who like to test their limits on highway ramps and don't mind a stiff ride. The upgrades and mods I have done far exceed my low reserve price.
EXTERNAL
From front to rear the Focus has a Steeda billet aluminum front grill, clear corner markers, Roush hood scoop, Le Bra nose cover, Razzi high mount wing, Roush mid wing, billet aluminum fuel filler door and universal tire splash guards. The paint is original with no rust, corrosion or peel. It could use a cut and buff due to some oxidation. Looking at my high-resolution photos you will notice only a few minor dings. Windows have a 35% side and 5% rear tint. The front headlamp assemblies have been blacked out.
INTERIOR
Inside, the factory radio/CD has been replaced with a triple gauge panel that houses an AEM 30-0300 X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor Controller. A dash cam is installed from the mirror and a rear-facing camera is also wired in. All carpet, rear seats, belts, etc. have been removed (I don’t have them anymore). A welded-in carrier secures a full-size spare wheel and tire. A Beltronics Driver STi radar and laser detector is mounted aft at the center of the roof before the hatch. A separate, external speaker for alarms is mounted in the front ceiling near the map light. Husky floor mats cover the front floors.
SUSPENSION & DRIVETRAIN
Suspension upgrades include Eibach Sportline springs which lowered the car 1.5" up front and 2” at the rear. All bushings have been replaced with a Prothane Urethane Bushing Kit. Shocks and struts are Tokiko. Front and rear sway bars are both 22 mm; Eibach in front and Progress at the rear. There are FSWerks upper and lower front stress bars and an upper rear stress bar. Ingalls upper strut alignment kit, Eibach rear alignment kit and Massive Race Spec Adjustable End Links complete the suspension modifications. An Exedy Stage 1 Clutch Kit with lightweight flywheel drives the MT-5 transmission onto 17x7 Motegi Racing Wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 Blackwall Tires. Brakes are Power Stop Evolution calipers with slotted rotors and OEM drum on rear.
ENGINE & EXHAUST
OEM Duratec 2.0 engine with Steeda short ram intake and poor man's CAI, FSWerks Engine Cover, a beautiful FSWerks Header with bung welded in for the AEM 30-0300 X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor, Stainless Steel Stealth Exhaust System (11/19), Brisk Premium GOR15LGS Spark Plugs and Optima Yellow Top ULT-9040-218 battery. The PCM is currently flashed with Tom’s Tune. The SCT X3 Flasher with upgraded firmware (11/19) is included.
Recently New: Alternator (12/19), Power steering rack (1/20), All 3 motor mounts (10/20), Front & Rear Pads/Calipers/Rotors (10/20), both axles and CV joints (10/20).
Included Parts: OEM exhaust manifold w/attaching hardware, OEM Radio/CD player and OEM PCM flash.
