Description
Hi you are bidding on a 2005 Silver Ford Focus, we are only selling due to buying a newer car.
I'm going to be completely honest here its a good car, great car in fact but its does have a couple of small faults.
So here goes - its 10yrs old, the paint work reflects that with a few scratches and chips, like my neighbour not being able to park and scraping the rear bumper just above the red reflector. Or some little sh*t who pulled off the petrol cap, the whole street was done, and throwing them in the road. The best one was a lady with a bag squeezing between cars and scratching the whole way down one side..thanks love!
On the whole there is no rust spots, and ive tried showing the scratches in the photos but they don't show up that well and mainly your looking a reflection of my feet and legs!
Interior - part leather seats front and rear. Foot mats front and back, not original ford but BMW ones..came with car when we bought it.
Front drivers seat has a small white paint stain, and has one of those levers that pump up the drivers seat (helps me see over the steering wheel!)
Front passenger - stained from goodness knows what but would probably clean up ok.
Rear seats - well I have two kids, need I say more? Honestly not that bad, never been puked or pooed on, probably a few minor stains from ice cream/chocolate etc.
Boot - massive! Easily fit a couple of bodies in there with room for a bag of shopping. Nicely fits all our crap when we go away as a family of four.
Tyres - Alloy wheels (no locking nut) few scuffs and on MOT in July the rear tyres were an advisory notice and would need changing before winter months.
It starts fine, never any issues in very cold temperatures, I work in the countryside and in winter often see temps of -10 which it copes with easily.
Heated front windscreen - I love this! Wish all cars had this genius thing, 30 seconds and thick ice just melts off.
Spare wheel, proper wheel not a space saving one - with Pirelli tyres. I have genuinely no idea where this came from, I bought the car and few months later when I had a flat discovered there was no spare. Anyway some time later, after one of its MOT's I pull up the mat in the boot and bugger me if there wasn't a spare wheel! Thank you wheel fairy!
Two main issues - there is a weird intermittent fault with the engine. Engine warning light comes on and stays on for a day or few days, then goes off for the same, when the light goes off the car becomes a little sluggish when you put your foot down on the accelerator. When the engine light is on..no problems. I'm no mechanic, we have had it looked at when the light came on initially but they couldn't find anything wrong. Similar thing to my husbands car when he had a Focus and it was a split in an air pipe leading to the engine, causing a bit of air to be sucked in. This could be the same thing but I also have to say it could be something more expensive!
The other issue was an advisory on the MOT (which I have misplaced!) but there was a bit of play on something, possibly ball joints or arms?? It was to do with the rear of the car. Once I have found or replaced to MOT certificate I will update.
I'm not here to make huge amounts of money, just want to sell my car and tell the truth. Overall its a good car for its age, yes it may need some work with new tyres and whatever had too much movement but its still decent. Its a nice family car, very sturdy and we've had 3 Focus in total (one of which of stood up to being rolled over onto its roof)
Any questions and I will do my best to answer them, I don't have a buy it now price but make a sensible offer and I will consider it.
The final price at the end of the auction is the price you pay, no haggling when you come to collect, I've tried to be as honest as I can so there won't be any nasty surprises for you.
I work shifts and later next week I'm on nights but I will check messages regularly when I can and get back to you soonest.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
Oh and collection from Weymouth Dorset.
