Description

Relisted due to very strange bidder, Thats what you get for agreeing to sell to a zero feedback bidder. Unfortunately due to this I need to implement a few rules. No bidders with less than 10 feedback, Anyone else wont even get a response and £200 non refundable deposit via paypal at end if a price is agreed. If not the car will remain for sale until you come and pay for it in cash.

This auction is for my 1998 Ford Focus MSA log booked Rally . It has been entered in and completed just one rally. Reluctant sale due to circumstances beyond my control. It is fitted with an ST170 engine which has had the head skimmed and gas flowed. The cams have been locked at 109 degrees and a variable cam delete kit fitted. It has been remapped using an aftermarket ECU from Omex (omex 600 ecu). A cone filter and a high flow exhaust system have brought the power up to 218 bhp at the crank. It has an ultralight flywheel and 6 paddle clutch mated to a Focus RS 5 speed box which has an lsd, shot peened gears and a Hewland 5:1straight cut crown wheel and pinion. Kyb ultra shocks all round ( fronts are coilover converted) front and rear discs, fronts have red stuff pads. Also comes with ST170 front brake and hub setup with grooved discs and red stuff pads.

Original handbrake remains but also has a long handled hydraulic handbrake. Aluminium foot plates in both drivers and passengers side. FIA switch panel has ignition and starter switches. The seats are OMP and new this year. The harnesses run out of date at the end of the year but I do have a new set of belts available by seperate negotiation. The spotlight bar is equivelent to 750 watts of halogen power but only uses 120 watts. Its very bright as you can see in the picture the headlights are on main beam.It currently sits on oz racing wheels and has virtually new ao48's all round. Comes with 8 wolfrace wheels all with good forest/gravel tyes fitted and a few other wheels and tyres. It is in forest setup at the moment but comes with everything for tarmac as well.

I also have 2 brand new drive shafts to go with it. Has a big aluminium sump guard which proved itself on the rally it did and an aluminium tank guard to match. The spare wheel well has been shallowed to give ground clearance and allow for the centre exit exhaust. It has Carbon Kevlar inner arch guards and Carbon fibre laminated with Carbon Kevlar wheel arch and sill guards. The paint job is pretty good ( it is a rally car) and the stripes are all painted on not stickers. Painted to look like The Colin Mcrae Focus of old. The dash is all new and also has a built in innovate gauge for mapping. The rev limit is currently set at 7000 rpm but its desperate for more.

I was going to put in the billet oil pump gears which are available and up the limit to 7750 but that is something the new owner can look into as I have run out of time. This is a quick, solid rally car that is ready for the start line as is. Or can be used as a trackday car or even a road car if you can live with the straight cut final drive (whines like a gooden). M.O.T'd till mid next year so can be driven home but probably wont be very good on fuel so I'd trailer it. Also you'll need a van for all the wheels and tyres. As I say its got to go so please no tyre kickers, and no swaps, I need the money not a kawasazuki gtrf 900 sport whatever. Thanks for looking and if you have any question please ask and I'll answer as soon as I can. Also if you want to buy it and want a test drive please bring proof of insurance as this is a quick car and will surprise the unprepared. If you cant then i'll drive.

Ive been asked about spares and completely forgot I have a box with every arm and bush for the rear end all brand new in packaging. I bought them all while building the car but didnt fit them as everything was already good.Photos from the event showing the car on stage can be found at
