Ford F100 (1983) Ute SWB Auto 351 9 Inch

Ford F100 SWB ute with 351C C4 and 9 inch.

I have had this for a few years and have come to the realisation that I just don't have the time to get it done. Plus there are other more pressing projects at the moment. It's not pretty, but it is complete and running. It has rust in all the usual places. I've seen worse, but I also have seen better.

It has a 351 Cleveland which is a fairly healthy speciman that was bought as a reco'd motor. Since having it in there it has travelled less than 1000KM. It has the factory power steering retro fitted although not original.

I have fitted dual thermos of an EF but the alternator needs to be upgraded to cope. I found that running with both thermos, I couldn't get the truck up to running temps.

It has a factory cast iron 4 barrel manifold with a new 650 Holley (I bought it new and then ran it for about a month) fitted to it. There is also an older Holley as a spare. The heads have been rebuilt to take unleaded and should be safe for a slightly bigger cam. That was always on the cards, but never eventuated.

As can be seen in the picture of the interior, it has a bench seat with a B&M shifter. There is a CD player and some speakers fitted. The box is a C4 that has been spruced up as some stage. It was originally built with the motor to go into an XC.

The truck has a 9 inch under it. This hasn't been touched, so I don't know what's in it. The brake drums look like OEM F100 drums so that leads me to believe it is a standard unit.

Although the picture shows no grille on the front, it is there and I will be puting it back on. As mentioned, the body panels aren't great, but they are viable.

I also have a tonne of spares to go with it. There are a pair of doors that are in better condition than those on it. A bonnet and I think two spare rear bars. There is also another black SWB tub that has twin fuel filler spotsAND the second tank with all piping and brackets. The floor of that tub has been cut out as there was a fair bit of rust. There is also a spare tailgate.
