Description
The car is a steel
bodied 1934 Ford Fordor Deluxe sedan. It has fibreglass fenders on the front
only.
It was used as a wedding car for several years.
It has a Crate Chevrolet GM LT1 350 Gen II 325 HP 5.7 Litre / 350 cid V8,
one piece rear main seal,
nodular iron crankshaft,
forged con rods 10.4/1 compression ratio,
hydraulic roller camshaft,
1.94” intake valve, 1.50” exhaust valve,
aluminium heads,
reverse cooling,
Holley 650 carby.
The gearbox is a fully tricked Turbo Hydra-matic 350 with shift kit and modified valve body. It has a Quicksilver shifter.
The diff is a 3.6 ratio Ford 9 inch.
It has a new set of Cragar wheels and BF Goodrich tyres.
The car has fully functional and cold air conditioning and it is always garaged and serviced regularly.
The brakes were fully done including the brake master cylinder and booster.
The radiator was fully overhauled and strengthened with a 14” thermatic fan. The engine has a reverse flow system with the water pump driven off the camshaft.
It has Pedder’s suspension all round. It is a nice rod. It was rodded over 35 years ago and had all the mechanicals replaced with new or reconditioned units.
It has the functional original horns as well as a Claxton type horn. I drive it about 12 times a year and it has excellent road performance and reliability.
