1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible, numbers matching 390 FE big block that was rebuilt about 7 years ago very little miles since rebuild. It runs perfectly and has no leaks or smoke at all the motor has plenty of power. The carb was just rebuilt and just had a complete tune up about two months ago. The ford Cruise-O-Matic transmission was completely rebuilt at the time of the engine rebuild and shifts smooth and also has no leaks. The brakes were replaced a year ago along with a new master. The fuel tank is also new but need a new sending unit . Has a new aluminum radiator (the car runs cool as can be) This car has a recent restoration. The paint looks really good it's not perfect but very respectable. Has one scuff on the lower front section of the passenger door. The floor has some patches but its all welded in. All the stainless is in great shape. The front bumper was just re-chromed and the grill polished. The top is in excellent condition and has no rips but the power top motor needs to be rebuilt or replaced. The interior is in very nice condition with only a few small wear marks on the lower drivers side seat. This car has the very rare swing away steering wheel. I've looked into it and it seems that very few galaxies were equipped with it. I've read on the internet that they don't even have production number on how many were produced but the number is low. I just took the car on a 200 mile round trip a few weekends ago and it drove flawlessly and I was getting an unbelievable 19 miles per gallon. The car over all drives amazing for its age and is a real pleasure to drive. The crank out vent windows need new regulators but I have them and they will either be install or supplied with the car. I have some extra parts including a new top $650 and 2 sets of hubcaps as well as some new molding pieces and other odds and ends that will be included in the sale.
