The advertising campaign for the 1965 Galaxie LTD promoted it as being quieter inside than a Rolls Royce, and proved it with scientific measurements. But don't let the car's smooth road manners fool you; it's impressively fast.
We bought this car 18 years ago from the neighbor of the original owner. The original owner ordered this car from the factory with Rangoon Red paint and the potent engine/tranny combination.
This car has spent its entire life in Colorado. The engine and transmission are original, and have never been removed or rebuilt. (Filters and fluids have been replaced as needed, of course.) Still has the original carburetor and blue air cleaner with the original 390 sticker. Even has the original plaid trunk liner.
The car runs and drives fine. Being unrestored, it could use some cosmetic TLC. We recommend starting with a new vinyl top and radio antenna.
