Description

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 KustomFeatured in the March 2007 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine, with a 4 page color spread feature article inside. One copy of the magazine is included in the sale. Lots of the details of the build can be found in that article.
Car has been featured in many magazines, websites, calendars, etc., across the globe.
Trophy winner many times in it's history.
Car was formally invited to the Detroit Autorama and the Gambino Sit Down.
I purchased this car for shows only, with my plan being to use it in our trade show booth. We used it for a few years. In the last 5 years, there has been less than 70 miles put on the car, however it is started and run on a regular basis. It is stored inside.
The build was started about 2005 with a rust free car.
There is no rust and there never was any rust.
The bottom of the car is rust free, as are the panels throughout the car
All the panels are hand formed, included trunk, doors, hood, quarter panels, etc. There is over 100 man hours per side on just the spears.
The custom work is incredible.
The dash is painted and pinstriped by Dr. Wu.
The headlights are 1952-1954 Ford
The grill is custom made stainless steel rod
The front lip of the hood is hand made and extended 4 inches
The side spears are extended into the quarter panels
The rear tail lights are 1952 Ford housings with 2004 ThunderBird lenses
The interior is 1969 Ford Thunderbird. Note the wrap-a-round rear seat
The car has $20,000 in real money invested in just the paint and body.
There is over $67,000 in REAL CASH MONEY in this build.
The car is appraised at I think $80,000.
The roof has ten coats of pearl metal flake with clear coat.
The car has all new front suspension. Over $1200 spent on parts alone
The rear suspension is on 2" lowering blocks with air shocks. Fully adjustable for whatever look you'd like.
The lake pipes are not functional. They are not hooked up. The dual exhaust exits through the rear and sounds excellent. It has headers. Sounds Like a hot rod
390 V8 motor with a brand new Edelbrock carp, HEI distributor and wires, radiator, tune up, gaskets, etc. Needs nothing but a new driver.
The car has the following:
Power steering
Power disc brakes
Automatic transmission with cooler
Power locks (poppers for the doors and the trunk on a key fob)
Air Conditioning the blows cold with new parts that were quite expensive
All the lights work and the horn works.
All the chrome is excellent
All the windows are excellent
The paint is excellent
Real Astro Supreme wheels and nice white wall tires.
Stereo and speakers are brand new
The car runs and drives excellent
I would have no reservations about driving this car from Florida to California if you'd wish. It's ready-to-go NOW.
This car is the "Belle of the Ball" at every car show or cruise in that you attend with it. It grabs ALL the attention.
If you DONT like attention, DONT buy this car.
Things of note:
1 - Carpet has a couple spots that could use some clean up. Not bad.
2 - There is a small area about 1/2 the size of your pinky nail that had some paint touch up done on the back of the rear quarter panel bottom edge that can be seen IF you search for it. It could be done better
3) The drivers side rear view mirror could use new mirror glass. It's just not perfect like the other side.
4) One typical Ford leak.but just ONE. I might have it fixed before the car sells, or maybe not. But again, no big deal.
5) The new stereo was installed crooked, and the installer didn't have a choice because of the hole the builder cut into the dash. It needs to look better in it's spot in my opinion.
6) The trunk leather was started and never finished. It should be finished at some point.
I am only selling to fun a business expansion. I'm really looking for a CASH sale.
I will consider a trade, but it has to have a market value of $40,000 or higher. And it HAS to be something that will sell relatively quickly.
We never ever thought we would sell this car. But an opportunity has presented itself that I need to take advantage of . So, the car goes.
And please, no low-ball offers. I know what I have. I know what it's worth. Please be serious and be fair.
My husband has experience shipping and exporting vehicles, and can help with that at buyers expense.
We are close to the ports of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Brunswick, GA.
