SUPER COOL ULTRA RARE 1964 FORD GALAXIE XL500 CONVERTIBLE
HARD to find in Australia and highly sought after collectable now in the USA is our 1964 Ford Galaxie XL500 CONVERTIBLE
If your not familiar with the Galaxie XL500 this was the top of the range for Ford back in 1964 in terms of engine options it had the thunderbird 390 for torque and performance matched with a factory 4 barrel back in its day.
This car has been an absolute pleasure to own and drive and only driving it can describe how smooth and nice this car really is.
I have spent well over $5,000 just in the last 2 months to make sure everything is in top order.
Brand New Edelbrock performer manifold and Edelbrock carby installed just a couple of weeks ago to get the most out of the factory 390 FE engine bigblock and done less than 100klm since installation. Along with this there was new fuel pump, lines, hoses, plugs, leads, points everything done to ensure trouble free enjoyable driving of this vehicle.
Also has a brand new exhaust from front to back OEM style twin system.
All electrics work perfectly including the electric Roof.
Brand New windscreen
Trim presents like brand new as does carpet and door trims and dash.
New front shockers to hold the road nicely.
She drives extremely well and would have no hesitations in taking this on a long trip anywhere anytime any place.
She runs a nice original 390 FE Big Block V8 Engine and auto trans which shifts so smoothly as it should and runs like a swiss watch.
Heater works extremely well for those sunny but chilly winter days with the roof down!
It will be a most regrettable sale.
This care is a pleasure to own and drive and I would drive it everyday if needed but like all my toys they are Sunday cars at best.
Car is garaged at my friends place in Derrimuit estate and inspections are welcome by appointment. There is zero rust in the floors chassis and boot being from Texas it is a dry climate and to give you a comparison its like looking under a holden or ford of similar vintage like an XY or HZ just to compare.

You won't see many of these in Australia and if you do your research you will find that these cars are going through the roof in the USA now.
