What you see here for sale is a VERY RARE FIND an Original Paint Unrestored Glacier Blue - Rust Free 1963 Ford Galaxie 2 Door Sedan Coupe - this is a Factory Big Block car with the 352 Cubic Inch (5.8 litre) V8 FE Big Block Motor, with Automatic Transmission , Ford 9" Diff & Power Steering and Power Brakes !!!!
I brought this car in the Grants Pass Oregon and it has a very Low Humidy Hot Dry Climate - Previous Owner brought the car 21 years ago from the Original Owner and it had been sitting in his garage ever since - it was last registered in 1994 !!!
Its still a projectcar but a bloody easy one
Just Imported from USA this is a Real Clean & Original Car
It Can be Registered in all States a Left hand Drive - I have the Import Approval Permit etc .
The Body is Real Nice and Straight - never been in any accidents and has all the original radiator Support Panel and Rear 1/4s etc - it has got a few minor dents and dings around the place but all real easy to fix before painting - this is an original paint car - will need a coat of paint to make it real nice again of course - Or it has a Great Patina Look the Way it is - Good Coat of Wax and you are done
All the Glass is in Real Nice Condition - as are all the trim mouldings etc etc
I just got the Motor Running this morning and it sounds good - I did drive it up the road - to discover the transmission is slipping a little - it engages forward gears and changes and goes into reverse gear ok and drives but its revving a little high - I spoke with my Transmission Guy and he said it might come right when it gets hot he suspects it might be some Valve / Governer sticking - Transmission Oil is nice and Clean - so might just need a little fiddling with - but worst case scenario I found Transmission Rebuild Kits for this Model in US for $120 US - I also went thru the Brakes and Put on some New Wheel Cylinders on the Rear and Cleaned everything up and adjusted etc - and its got good brakes now will still be ok to drive on your trailer or transporter
I put on a Set of 15" x 7" Jelly Bean Style Wheels - Actually are Ansens - with Big 255 Tyres on Rear & 235s on front - if buyer wants it with the original 14" Steels & Hubcaps - will swap them back over - just looks better with a set of Period Wheels I reckon
The Interior will need the Usual Stuff - Carpets & Seat Upolstery on Front Bench Seat needs repairing, so does Headlining etc but actually got quite a tidy interior in this one - doesnt need a whole lot doing to make it driveable
Its getting impossible to find almost Rust Free 1963 Cars these days anywhere - Let alone a real cool looking Galaxie Coupe that Seats 6 Big Adults with Ease - Make a Great Family Sunday Car or Classic Race Car !!!
