FORD - LTD
1985

GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT
I purchased this car in 1991 and happily drove it for many years until the 9" diff started slipping in 2003. I purchased a new diff and had the intention to install it myself, as the car was stored in the warehouse associated in my business. However I did not have the time, and sold the business in 2004, bringing the car to my home.
It has not been driven since 2003, and I have never installed the new diff.
This is a genuine Ford LTD with all the original parts and accessories, some in the boot.
As a project car this vehicle would be an easy fix for someone starting out in the restoration business as all the parts are there, and some time is required to pull apart the current structure to fix the minor things that are required i.e.
Put the differential gears back into the housing
Install the diff onto the car
Reinstall the brake lines
Replace all the fluids ( the car has been sitting for 12 years)
Check the engine, brakes, steering exhaust etc
Give the car a thorough clean
Repaint the bonnet
Repair the rust holes in the body (bottom of windscreen - 2, bottom of rear window - 1)
Replace all hoses
Check electrics
As this car has the full compliment of parts, if the new owner decided to sell off the bits then I would estimate that sales could be in the region of
$10,000 - $20,000
I do not have the facilities to strip down the whole car and sell the parts individually.
I have listed the car For Sale at a price that reflects the value and future potential for this vehicle, but am open to any Reasonable offer.
This vehicle is only available for collection from Lesmurdie in WA, as a truck is required because the car is not driveable at this stage as the diff and brakes are not connected.
This is a Great Opportunity to own a dream car from the 1980s.
