Description
1992 Ford Maverick XLT
4.2TD Turbo
It's time to offload my 4x4.not that it saw tracks very often, more of a tow vehicle for the camper van. In saying that it has been well setup to handle any situation because the last thing I needed with the family in tow was to be stranded somewhere.
As this is a XLT it has all the options including a/c (though not cold atm), power windows, 7 seats and central locking.
As you can see from the pictures this is certainly not a show pony, rather a reliable old 4x4 that has been well used and very well maintained. Has had a few previous rust repairs but since the ERPS has been fitted it appears to have kept it at bay.
Ive had the car for over 6 years and have been very happy with the service it gave.
To count the $$$ spent during this is pointless so I'll list what Ive done:
T3 Turbo with 3" downpipeBottom end rebuild and H/D clutch installed when turbo fittedTop mount intercoolerLockright automatic front diff lockCustom bullbar13000lb low mount winch2.5" lift suspension stuff light duty.great flex and carrying capabilitiesDual batteriesElectronic Rust Prevention System (ERPS)HID head and spot lights33" AT tyres >5K km agoSnorkleUHF CBnew water pump and 3 row 52mm alloy radiator (3 weeks ago)Bad Points:
Registration runs out in couple of weeksAs stated body has usual scratches33's rub on front mud guards under flex, have radius arm spacers but not fitted as yet3rd gear notchy at times, particularly when pushed through a fast gear change. Been like that since I purchased and hasn't bothered me, I just change slowly
