The Houndstooth Edition of the Cougar XR7 is a rare car even in USA as Marti Report [copy available] advise out of 72365 Cougars produced in 1970 [only year of houndstooth] only 588 were Houndstooth Editions and this one is 1 of 3 There is in all probability less than 35 of them on the road in USA This Cougar is of a very low mileage under 45000 mls and in very good condition MECHANICALS ; Engine 351 Cleveland just had valve grind and rebuilt carby ;new fuel pump; reco starter; HMX gearbox reco approx. 500ks ; 9 inch diff ;brakes done; new power steer hoses;new battery; Air Con heeds regas BODY ; Repainted in USA approx. 2.5 years ago to original Grabber Blue ; Original black and white vinyl Hounds tooth roof [part of Hound/th Edit] is in V/G condition ; Wheels are 15 in Tru Spoke usa Wires with near new BF Goodrich tyres Std spare; rear indicator lights are sequential and work correctly; INTERIOR ; Total black interior with black/white Houdstooth seat centres [Part of Hound/t h Edit] all in close to original ex condition Dash top has a coupe of faded areas but NO cracks : Rimblow steering wheel has 2 cracks This car is really in V/G condition but after over 40 years it is not perfect the not so good ; will require exhaust in near future ; front bumper has a bit of damage and will need a straighten and rechrome Vacuum lies for head light doors need some attention as doors open with in approx. hour after motor turned off ; Rear light covers have some pits and should he rechromed in future This is a V?G car and will appreciate quickly now that Mercury has finished production and because there are limited numbers oh genuine houndstooth editions This car is located in mid Vic and if you want to view it please contact me accordingly Cougar is on Club Rego but have import papers so therefore has no rego was checked for rego a year so should have no problem for RWC to cover Club Reg
