Description
Ford Model A. 1930 Deluxe Coupe with rumble seat. Complete restoration in 2020 to original factory colors and interior. Does not burn oil. Runs and drives excellent for a 1930. Power conversion to 12 Volt from 6 Volt. The engine, transmission and suspension are in great condition. I pulled the oil pan off and checked the rod clearances and they checked out great. I replaced the seals in the timing gear cover and the oil pan and installed a new oil pump. I rebuilt the carburetor and installed electronic ignition. I rebuilt the starter from 6 volt to 12 volt and installed an alternator. The entire vehicle was rewired for 12 Volt and all light bulbs changed to 12 Volt. New 12 Volt battery installed along with electric windshield wiper on drivers side. Car also has directional lights. Oil pressure and water temp gauges installed.
The car was completely stripped to bare metal then primed, sealed and painted with 4 coats of the original colors it was born with. On top of the original colors 6 coats of clear lacquer was installed and wet sanded after each coat. Exterior colors, Fenders and running boards are painted black, the main body is painted Kewanee Green, and the Belt and top are painted Elk point Green. All colors were provided by Automotive Touchup out of Louisiana. New black Canvas top was installed. Wheel Color Apple Green. All paint is in excellent condition.
Interior is plush 1930 original color upholstery supplied by Cartouche out of western NY. Also has luggage box, in excellent shape, that attaches to rear, not shown. Running boards and luggage rack were replaced with new ones. Seat belts installed. A REAL SHOW STOPPER AND EYE CATCHER. Never seen rain since restoration. Housed inside.
MODEL A WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD ON EBAY ON 11/19/2021 BUT BUYER BACKED OUT OF DEAL IMMEDIATELY ATER AUCTION CLOSED. SAID HE BID ON WRONG VEHICLE, AFTER BIDDING TWICE.
