Up for Sale is a rare 1928 Ford Model AA Seagrave Fire Truck. The Fire Truck was restored in the 1970's and has been on display since. A new rebuilt engine was put in about 2 years ago. Many improvements were made at the same time. Those include:
*Removal of Headlights, Horn, Engine Splash Pans, and Floor Boards to facilitate removal of old Engine. Removal of Flywheel Housing, Flywheel and Clutch Assembly from old Engine and installing same on new Engine.
*Installed rebuilt Engine with insert Crank Bearings, all new Rods, Stainless Valves, new Springs, Guides and adjustable Filters.
*Rebuilt Carburetor
*Rebuilt Distributor
*Rebuilt Water Pump
*Installed Rebuilt Engine in Chassis
*Re-installed Headlights, Horn, Radiator, Hood, Engine Splash Pans and Floor Boards.
*The Wiring System was checked and several shorts were found and fixed.
*Replaced Ignition Switch
*Repaired Radiator
*Checked to see that all Electrical Components are functional.
*Replaced non-serviceable Starter Motor assembly with rebuilt unit.
*The Fire Truck comes with several Fire Hoses, Jackets, Boots and 4 Fireman Leather Helmets.
*The Fire Truck is 15 1/2 feet long, 6 1/2 feet high, and 6 feet wide.
*Everyone who has seen this Fire Truck says they have never seen one like it. In a way it is a one of a kind item. It must be seen to be appreciated.
*The complete Restoration was done in the early 1970's, but it is still very fresh.
