Description
Bought this Roadster after talking to a club member and owner to find out he had bought it in Kansas and drove it to Oklahoma. Club member said he took this car to Pikes Peak and made the run up the hill after driving there and back home with other members trailering their cars. Also has a plaque on the dash which says that he made it up Pikes Peak. Tried to get a picture of it but isn't real clear. Owner also stated he was the third owner making me the forth and that the car was last painted in 1942, and it does look like that. He also said he wouldn't be afraid the drive this to California. The metal on this car is extremely nice. Fender are nice and car does have some surface rust and a little rust on the molding line on driver side behind door. Don't believe a patch panel would be needed. Also top and side curtains are in great shape found a receipt from LeBaron and Bonney in the car and also has some misc. parts in trunk. Car has been converted to 12 volt with alternator. Resister on ignition only all other bulb have been replaced. Front lights are sealed beam and no I don't have the originals. He also stated he had changed the gears in the rear end and can cruise at 50 all day and never overheated for him. I haven't had the car long and found out my lady doesn't like another car in the garage and also I would need a fat man steering wheel. Thank this would be a nice candidate for a restoration although my brother loves it like it is. On the down side the previous owned had put on turn signals on the back and would need holes in firewall welded up and also a couple of splits that would be needed to weld up and ground off for a restorations. Think someone with just normal ability could handle those jobs. This also has an upstart installed and look at motor picture it has a fan shroud which one like it sold for $560.00 on ebay just recently. This is a trunk car but could be converted to a rumble seat. Any questions just ask. Oh yes it does have an oil filter. I would prefer the buyer was someone to restore or leave it as it is and not HOT RODDED. I will check feedback on bidders to try and determine that and if you have less then 10 feedback you need to contact me before bidding. Would just like to know some history as my first purchase on ebay was a Model A so I understand if you only have a few. Also if Tom P. in Texas that bought my Victoria sees this and would like it let me know. Would love for you to restore this one also might put a buy it now on for you. Also going to say I'm going to list this locally and may need to close auction early. If it reaches reserve it will be yours won't end early then. I'm requiring a $500.00 deposit which is NON-REFUNDABLE so also have all financing arranged before bidding. Car can't leave my possession until funds are cleared and in my account.
