Description

Up for auction here is an awesome vintage 32 Ford build that is only three years old. This car is finished and needs nothing. Everything is brand new or rebuilt. This is a fiberglass car but was done right. The body is from Cain's hot rods and was very well built. It spent a lot of time in the shop getting it straight and laying down that beautiful red metallic color. I like the hoodless look but if you wish to install a hood, the steel radiator shell was spaced perfectly from the cowl where a stock hood will fit. The doors and windows all open and close just like they should. The frame is new as along with all the suspension. It has 40 Ford hydraulic brakes along with a 35 Ford rear end. The engine is a 39 Ford Flathead that was completely gone through. The block has been relieved and has a 8ba crank with insert bearings. It has a .400 Isky Jr. Cam that makes this thing sound awesome. Also has Offenhauser heads, dual pot intake and dual Super 97 carbs. MSD ignition makes it all fire. The generator was converted to 12v and the starter is a new reproduction. The transmission is a 5 speed out of a S10 and was completely rebuilt. The adapter and hydraulic clutch was all supplied by Speedway. There is just a little over 2k miles on the build and we have never had an issue. I have though tried three different times to get the very small oil leak fixed but have had no such luck. It's not very bad but will leave a drip or two after a long drive. I have been told this is just a flathead issue and that compared to most this one doesn't even leak. Everything I own doesn't leak so I tried every trick in the book and the best result was the one piece front main seal instead of the rope seal. Just wanted to be honest and to most people they would think I was being ridiculous, but I'm very picky. Other than that there is no other issues at all. The interior was done up in a red and white theme and turned out really good. The whole car was lined with Dynamat before all the upholstery was installed. The seat in the picture is slid forward quite a bit so I can drive it. I'm 5'10'" and fit very well with tons of room to spare. The seat still slides back another 8" and also tilts back. It has Stewart Warner guages and a hot rod heater. There is no radio but there is a space on the fuse block to add one if you wanted. I can't think of a song that I would want to listen to that would sound better than the lope of that cammed flathead! The glass is all DOT approved safety glass and has a slight tint to it. The side windows are power but have the switch installed to use the old style lever for that vintage crank look. The 32 Iowa license plate will stay with the car. I talked the guy into leaving it on the car when I bought it so I feel it's only right to keep it on. This is titled, registered, and insured as 1932 Ford. Some people are turned off by a fiberglass car but if done right they can be just as good or if not better than an original. Most original bodies would be so patched up that you would be better off with glass. Of course a new steel body would be the best route but the price would also be much higher! I always tell people that it's titled as a 32, looks likes a 32, and drives like a 32, so it must be a 32. If you have any questions please let me know and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
