Description
Hate to sell because of so many good memories, but must make room for my next project!
This Roadster has a custom built frame, fiberglass body, Big Block Chevy motor, 2 speed power glide transmission, Ford 9 inch rear end w/ 4:56 gears (its a spool). Really fun going around corners!! Originally built for the drag strip but made it street legal. Very fun, loud car that draws a crowd everywhere you go! I do have baffles in the headers.
It has a 10 gallon tank behind the drivers seat and an additional 5 gallon pony keg in the front. Both work great. There is a master battery switch on the back of the car and 5 point harness for the driver in case you wanted to take it to the drag strip. My last pass in the 1/4 mile was 11.5 seconds so you would need a helmet.
There's not much of an interior to this so it's up to your imagination how you'd like to finish it. OR leave it and enjoy as is! Right now I have a couple UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter pilots seat cushions that fit perfect. The only gauges that are installed are the bare necessities; TACH, Oil, Temp & Electrical. I have wired up the headlights w/ high beams, tail & brake lights. You'll have to practice your hand & arm signals for turns. To cap it off to make it street legal is a rear view mirror :)
I've owned the car for 12 years. Bought from the original owners. In the pictures you will see a pic of it about 10 years ago when it still had the roll bar and fat slicks on the back. This has always been kept in the garage. Still lots to tell about this car so please feel free to PM me with all your questions.
Not a good freeway car because of the gearing. I've always wanted to put a 4 speed manual in this and have some more fun. The 2 speed auto in it now limits it to putt putting around town and smoking cars from stop light to stop light. So with that, this car will need to be trailered out of here unless you are a local buyer.
Here in the state of Tennessee it is titled as a 1927 Ford Model T so I was able to permanently register it with "antique" plates.
It kills me to start this auction off at $10,000. I've got way much more $$$ invested in it.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
