ford mondeo zetec 1.8 tdci 125.
selling as spares or repair so please read carefully.
2008/08 plate 1.8tdci.mot until june 2015 and taxed until the end of november.showing 126k miles.previous owner couldnt find the owners handbook so unfortunatly theres no service history.18"alloys,double climate control,electric front seats,cruise control,cd,ew x4,heated front screen etc etc.
the reason im selling it as spares or repair is as follows,firstly,for some reason the car will only start with the clutch pedal pressed.as long as the clutch is in it starts no bother.secondly,it can run fine for a week or two sometimes longer then it starts to cough and splutter and wont tick over properly.the revs fluctuate up and down and its quite difficult to drive.if you leave it overnight it will start and run fine and then the circle starts again.to be totally honest its been fine for the past three weeks but im just waiting for it to happen again(hopefully it wont).ive been told it has an intermittent fuel pressure fault.the only other problem is that it needs a strut top bearing on the passenger side front shocker.please note that this car is in daily use and isnt as bad as ive made it sound but i just wanted to be as honest as possible so not to waste anyones time.yes,it has problems but could be used everyday as it is.
all faults aside its a nice looking family car thats lovely to drive(when its running right),comfortable and fantastic on fuel averaging about 48mpg which is great for a big car.front bumber has a scuff and a broken fog light(see photo) and also has a small trolley ding on the drivers door.
to someone who knows what there doing this would be an easy fix but i havnt got the time/money to sort it.
selling with no reserve to the highest bidder.would consider a swap for something fast but please be realistic,even with its faults this car is stil worth good money.
