Description
Hi. This has been a fantastic car for me (other than the recent repair costs!), I remember looking at many cars before finding this well presented one. I looked at Passat TDIs too, but these drive so much better.
It certainly isn't your average 11 year old Mondeo, it's in really nice condition, particularly inside where there is barely any wear. Outside there are a few scratches and dinks, and stone chips on the front bumper/bonnet, but nothing that stands out - it's still well above average for the age and mileage.
If you've done any research on these cars, you'll know that the clutch/flywheel, and particularly injectors are a bit of a weak point - I've had all of this work carried out in the past 3 months. A mk3 Mondeo TDCI that hasn't had this work yet, is definitely a timebomb!
It has the more desirable 6 speed gearbox, plenty of power, and ridiculously good fuel economy - I've had an indicated 72mpg on a motorway run before.
It has a fantastic amount of equipment (being a Ghia), EVERYTHING works, and works well!:
- Electric 1 shot windows all round
- Electric folding/adjusting mirrors
- Heated windscreen, rear screen and mirrors
- Climate control with air conditioning - regassed last summer
- Automatic headlights
- Automatic wipers
- Remote/interior boot release
- Reading lights front & rear
- Trip computer
- Electric front seats - height adjustment
- Sony CD/radio, excellent quality with inbuilt 6 disc changer
- Remote audio controls
- Cruise control
- Remote locking/immobiliser/alarm
- Front fog lights
- Convenience puddle lights in mirrors
- Automatic dimming rear view mirror
and plenty of other stuff I've forgotten
It's extremely comfortable, with no squeaks, rattles, or knocks, and obviously has masses of space, with a huge boot and split/flat folding rear seats.
As mentioned, it has a full service history; the last service I had carried out in June 2015.
I've just had the fuel filter replaced too, an item often neglected on these cars.
The tyres are in good condition all round, as is the spare.
Many thanks for reading, any enquiries welcome.
