I bought this mondeo recently from my brother who a few months ago bought it from my dad when he upgraded to a newer ford. My dad bought this car and fitted all of the extras as can be seen around a year ago and its made its way to me since. The car had over £1,000 spent in April 2013 (126k Miles) on a new exhaust system, dual mass flywheel, clutch etc. (Receipt photographed). The car has since been fitted with the full Zetec-S Body Kit, 18" Zetec-S Alloy Wheels, Towbar with working electrics, ST/Titanium-X Half Leather interior with heated seats.
The car is also fitted with a double din touch screen radio which is iPhone compatible, plays DVD, iPod etc and also has i-GO Navigation which is brilliant! It also features a reversing camera which is activated when the car is placed in reverse (Camera hidden in the rear number plate). The car also features traditional audible reversing sensors too.
Earlier this year the car had a few issues cutting out and was fitted with a genuine Delphi fuel filter, 2 Injectors replaced and coded as they were beginning to knock (Common problem) and the fuel filter was also replaced with a known good unit (Another known problem) the car has not suffered any issues since replacing these parts (4+ Months on) I've also used the car last month to drive to London and Back (180 Miles each Way).
BAD BITS:
Sadly this car isn't perfect and has a few minor imperfections.
1. There is a fog light bezel (Silver ring around the bulb) missing on the front bumper, these can be found on ebay for around £10.
2. The front passenger tyre will need replacing soon, it's currently legal but due to tracking being out on the car the wheels come off it wore the tyre on the outer edge.
3. There is a minor bend/split at the end of the bonnet (photographed).
4. The airbag light flashes on the dashboard, After having this plugged in it points to the airbag wiring on the passenger seat but ive not had time to sort it.
5. There is a light grumble at speed coming from the rear wheel bearing, These are about £35 on ebay and are a bolt off part to change.
There isn't a massive list and no major expense involved and if your looking for a reliable, economical diesel which looks good then this is the one for you. I see no reason why it wouldn't pass its next MOT other than possibly the passenger front tyre.
I am listing the car at £1395 and am open to sensible offers. Sadly ebay doesn't allow part exchange but i will be in the market for another car wink
