2003 FORD MONDEO ST220 SILVER

Up for sale is my 2003 '53 facelift Ford Mondeo ST220. This is the later 6 speed car with the revised interior. The car is not standard however the modifications have been done to improve on the standard car rather than turn it into a Max Power special.

Full service history - Stamped Ford Main Dealer history until my ownership, then serviced at a local trusted garage with all receipts for parts and work done.
I'm the third owner, first owner was a company, the second when the person driving it bought it off the company. I purchased it from a dealer where they had p/x'ed it against a Focus ST.

In my ownership I have carried out the following work (all in the last 10k)
Full service including spark plugs, gear box oil, coolant, new Ford OE thermostat, full engine flush and the correct grade fully synthetic oil, new DOT4 brake fluid, new coolant.
Fully rebuilt gearbox including new seals, bearings and selector forks (all Ford OE supplied). Whilst the gearbox was in bits I had a Quaife ATB diff fitted, transforms the car and the way it drives and makes a noticeable improvement on cornering ability. At the same time I had a new LUK (Ford OE) clutch, dualmass flywheel and slave cylinder fitted, along with new upper and lower (again, Ford OE) gearbox mounts. This was done around 6k ago.
CAT-back Milltek exhaust after the original snapped at the Y-Pipe at the rear of the car. Beautifully made system, sounds great with a lovely deep burble.
K&N 57i Induction kit - This is only fitted as it makes a fantastic sound, I have the standard airbox and all the required fittings to put it back on if you wish.
ASBO front brake conversion - For those who don't know, this conversion consists of Focus ST front calipers and discs to replace the mediocre standard Mondeo front brakes. It increases the front disc size to 320mm from 300mm with a caliper twice the size. Big improvement with a firmer pedal and significantly shorter stopping distance. New Ford OE front dics and pads fitted around 1k ago.
The standard finish on the wheels is a diamond cut edge which just peels and corrodes, happens to all Mondeo ST wheels unfortunately. To tidy things up I had all 4 wheels shot blasted, acid dipped then powder coated in a gloss anthracite, again around 1k ago. At the same time I fitted 4 x Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres. I also have 2 x brand new Goodyear Performance 8 Ultragrip winter tyres that will be included in the sale. All the tyres are the correct load rating of 92Y.
It's a nice clean car with sensible mileage and low owners, it is however 13 years old and does have the odd mark on the bodywork. There is no rust anywhere, doors etc are all clean and tidy.
All the weak points have been addressed and improved on with parts from well known aftermarket suppliers or Ford OE parts. It's wanted for nothing during my ownership and that's reflected in the service history and overall condition.
Please don't throw a low ball offer in, I'm not in a great rush to sell and they will not be entertained. Test drives will be subject to proof of fully comp insurance otherwise the driving will be done by me. I know this is eBay and therefore there will be the usual idiots and scammers trying their luck, I'm not here to provide childcare, I'm here to sell my car. If you hit buy it now remember you are therefore supposed to pay me and take the car, not make excuses and mess me around. Failure to pay will be pursued through eBay for my costs. Please pay attention to where I am in the country, there's an airport and mainline train station nearby where I'm happy to meet buyers if required.
