Description
Up for sale is 1982 Ford Mustang GLX. The body is completely straight with no body damage, so there is no body work required, it just needs paint. I bought this car from a retired Police Officer 4 years ago. The original engine was a 200 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder, but I had it removed. There is no carpet, and the interior is worn out, so it needs new upholstery.
It has the original 7.5 Axle. The original C5 automatic transmission has been removed. New UPR Sub-frame Connectors are included with the car, but they have not been installed. This is a great project for anyone who likes FOX chassis Mustangs. It has been on Non-Op status with the DMV since 2012, so there are no outstanding DMV fees. I registered the vehicle when I bought it, so I do have the title and the title is in my name. You should never purchase a car from anyone if the title is not in the seller's name, they're just trying to stick you with the DMV fees on the sale of the vehicle.
New installed parts:
New UPR Chromoly Steel K-Member
New Manual Steering Rack and Pinion
New Spring Perches
New BMR lowering coil springs.
So it's ready for a V8 or a turbo engine.
That's over $800 invested in parts alone. My loss is your gain. This was going to be an autocross project, but I lost interest, and I am trying to make space in my garage. The selling price is already low, and FOX Chassis Mustangs are popular and easy to work on and there is a lot of after market support. I am available to show the car on the weekends only: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
