Description

I purchased this 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe in 1994 and completed the restoration in 2001. The high output 302 cu. in. engine with approximately 36,000 original miles is from a 1991 Ford Mustang GT including late model accessories with serpentine belt drive system. Late model compressor with vintage A/C unit converted to 134A refrigerant. Edelbrock performer aluminum intake manifold and carburetor with factory installed Crane roller rockers and roller camshaft. Mallory Unilite electronic ignition. Original 3 speed automatic transmission. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster three chamber mufflers. Completely rebuilt front suspension with high rate coil springs for better handling. Optional factory tinted glass. Original exterior color Vintage Burgundy with Wimbledon white interior. Exceptional paint and body work that has been color sanded and polished to a deep, wet look show car finish. The quality of this restoration speaks for itself as the show car finish still looks as good today as when it was completed 13 years ago. A special thanks to good friend Rodney Austin owner of Austin's Collision & Custom Bodyworks of Austin, TX for his guidance throughout this restoration project. Several of Rodney's project cars have been featured in various well known magazines including Mustang Monthly and Popular Hot Rodding. This car has been stored in a garage for the past 20 years and has only been driven to and from car shows with only 1,745 miles since the restoration was completed. I have photographs of all of the body panels in bare metal prior to paint and body work as evidence of the condition of the original Ford sheet metal. You can rest assured there is no body damage or rust cover up here. Good driving cruiser and a great investment! Feel free to contact me via email with any questions.
