Description
A rare find with this 1967 Mustang GT Fastback! Numbers matching 289 4V and 4 speed top loader. A detailed Marti Report has been completed and the numbers show it is quite a rare car.
Sold new in Grande Prairie Alberta and has been in extended periods of garaged life here in Alberta. This excellent driver features Candy Apple red paint with black interior. I would rate the car as a very solid #3 or slightly better.
The front and rear seats have been recovered (TMI) along with new foam (front) and carpets replaced. A new reproduction center console has been installed as the original was missing.The speedometer, temperature and oil pressure gauges all work and read correctly. The factory tachometer is factory 6K unit.
The wheels are factory reproduction styled steel from Scott Drake. The BF Goodrich T/A tires are in very good condition with no abnormal wear.
Both of rear quarters had been replaced. The drivers was replaced with a genuine Ford NOS quarter by Healy Ford in Edmonton back in 1983. The factory yellow "C7ZZ-XXXXXX-X" stamping still partially visible. It could assumed the passenger was done at the same time.
The engine compartment is stock appearing minus the chrome power steering pump bracket, alternator bracket, fan pulley, battery and flex fan. Car has power steering and power drum brakes. Long tube headers are in place of the original exhaust manifolds. A new gas tank along with fuel sending unit, fuel line, fuel pump, rebuilt 4100 carburetor, factory appearing aluminum radiator with hoses have recently been installed. Runs and drives great. You could fly in and drive home!
