1968 Mustang fastback used as the hero car in the T.V. show Chicago Fire. Driven by the main character known as Kelly Severide ( actor Taylor Kinney).
The "Hero" car in a movie or T.V. show is the one used for all of the beauty & glamour shots & not used as the "Stunt" car.
This car was always kept inside a movie car storage building when not being filmed and does not have a scratch on it.
This Mustang played the role of his personal car in the T.V. series.
Aside from being the shows celebrity classic car. This Mustang is a numbers matching 302 4 barrel car that was restored by none other then Mustang Restorations Inc. in Dundee Il.
If you look these guys up you will see that they have been in business for almost 40 years, producing show winning and record breaking Mustangs with the body fit second to nun of a modern car.
The owner, Christopher Ingrassia is known as the "Doctor or Restorations" & has over 300 "HowTo" video's posted on his YouTube channel including a series of 1/2 reality shows called "Operation Mustangs & More' hosting his shop reality with test drives, HowTo segments & much , much more..
Believed to be original miles with the rare, one year only 302 4V "J" code engine used in the 1968 Shelby GT 350s & backed by a smooth shifting C4 transmission with an 8 inch rear axle.
