1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Up for sale is an unmolested 1971 Mustang Fastback Mach 1. This mustang is mostly original and true to its roots! Fires right up and runs good!
The body of this mustang is in fair condition, it does have some rust in some of the typical areas, the worst areas are in both rear lower quarters, then there is some rust in trunk, floors are solid, frame rails are solid, fenders, doors are good! The neat part is the car has never been painted, it’s showing it’s originsl white paint! Great candidate for restoration! Glass is all in good shape, it is a very complete car overall.
The interior of this mustang is in need of restoration. It is all original as well. Red vermillion in color matched with black. Everything is there, just in need of refresh! Overall it is a unique color combo on the car, white ext with black Mach 1 striping, with red/black interior!
The drivetrain in the car fires right up and engine seems to run healthy! Transmission shifts smooth, just topped off with some fresh fluids. It is a 351 matched up with an Auto FMX Trans, original to the car. Following all of that a 9 in rear end. The car starts, runs good, stops good everything functions! Great starting point for restoration.
Overall this Mach 1 is a good candidate for restoration, your starting with a unmolested original 1971 car. This is a low owner car and taken care of most of its life.
