Description

1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2 with Original 289 V8 and Automatic Transmission
C Code
2nd Owner car, purchased in 1966 with 6000 miles.
This car is know as a survivor!
54400 original miles, documented as best I could with car being parked for approximately 30 years.
Great Subframe, never been wrecked, except for small dent pulled from rear quarter panel in 1980's (estimated.) When the 6 inch diameter dent was pulled and the car was resprayed as a glass in basic respray.
Great car as a Driver, many replacement parts to make this car more drivable.
2014 Car was removed from the garage after sitting for ~30 years undriven and taken to Marty's in Longwood Florida, where about $10,000 was spent to restore the brakes, accessories, shocks, springs, seats, A/C, and other items.
Car now Runs, Drives, Stops and it really turns heads. As a driver car, it needs very little, but as a full restoration the car needs a glass out paint job.
Pros.

Cons:
Paint was last painted in the 1980's and the paint has a lot of overspray on the original. The current paint needs a lot of work or touch ups, or a complete respray for a very nice looking car.
Under the Battery Tray was removed for rust and a new tray was replaced. Some small amount of rust still remains, but its the only location I can see where there is anything more than some surface oxidation.
Small dent was repaired around 1980 where they drilled a few holes and filled it was Bondo. The area is around 6 inches in diameter, and is difficult to see unless you move the materials from the rear trunk.
The chrome trim has some oxidation that didn't come off with basic rubbing kits and a few small dings in the front trim from possible rocks.
The four hubcaps don't match. The two on the left are slightly different from the two on the right, but the difference are small.
Electrical is perfect except it looks like the rear lights were spliced in. Not really sure why, but I suspect that when the car was repainted they removed the rear lights and probably broke a connector.
The body lines aren't perfect, I suspect this is a factory finish level, but the trunk where it looks like it gets slammed has some pretty tight gaps where the front hood gaps are a bit larger.
NOTE: I try and do the best of my knowledge on this vehicle. Please contact me to schedule a time to see it in person. If you bid you are entering into a contact as I expect payment in a reasonable time frame.
