Description
This is a beautiful, nearly restored, rust free Wimbledon White
1965 Mustang Coupe with immaculate white and red interior. The car runs good
and drives smooth. It has recently had the carburetor rebuilt and brakes done, but
there is a minor exhaust leak from the o-ring and it has a tendency to get
stuck in 3rd gear (I’ll try to have that fixed before this ends).
In January 1965 Ford revised its VIN numbering convention to start at 600,001. This car was the 4th one off the assembly line. Originally built at the Dearborn plant and sold in Oklahoma, it’s always been an Oklahoma and Texas car. It’s been driven very little over the last nine years and was showing its age so last year the car was repainted, the interior was redone, chrome was replaced, and the engine was cleaned and dressed-up. A lot of minor parts were replaced as well such as weatherstripping, screws, bolts, and even the windshield.
The car has been garage kept at a storage facility and I plan to go there in a day or two to take some additional pictures and a video of it running. I will post them as soon as possible.
Please feel free to ask any questions. Perhaps I’m being rude, but don’t bid unless you plan to buy the car; it’s very frustrating have to start the process all over again.
