Description
Backyard Find! Up for sale is a 1969 Ford Mustang
Mach 1 that has been sitting outdoors for nearly 15 years, and has not been
plated since 1989.
Exterior has had new sheet metal: doors, quarter panels, and inner wheel wells that were installed at the time it was parked some 15 years ago which is when worked was halted on the car. The rust that can be seen on the replacement panels mentioned above is surface rust only due to weather. The original Winter Blue paint can still be seen throughout the rest of the car with the exception of the hood. The original hood is included with the car, but has been replaced with one from a 1970 due to its deteriorated condition.
Interior is original and complete, yet has faded and deteriorated due to sitting outdoors uncovered for years (see pictures).
The car still retains all of its original drivetrain components that never been out of the car including the “H” code 351 Windsor 2V power plant and the FMX automatic transmission. Engine is non-running; however it is not seized and will turn by hand. It also has the correct 9” open differential, and it is a factory power steering car with manual (non-power) drum brakes.
Please note that this is considered a project car with extensive undercarriage rust issues in areas shown in pictures, car will need a full restoration.
These cars are getting harder to find that are as complete and original as this car has remained over its long 50 year history, even down to 2 of the original styled steel wheels and all 4 center hub caps & trim rings which were found in the trunk.
THIS VEHICLE IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END LISTING AT ANY TIME. A DEPOSIT OF $1,000.00 (U.S.) IS DUE WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HOURS UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THE FINAL BID/OFFER, THE REMAINDER OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT WILL BE DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PICKUP AND/OR DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS OF THE VEHICLE ONCE FULL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
