Thank you for viewing my listing of my 1987 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Supercharged Coupe "Notchback".I purchased this car in 2017 as a mostly stock car with minor modifications and its a truly original LX 5.0 Manual from Ford.My intent was to find the best, rust free, lowest mile example I could find and make it my own with no expense spared and refurbish the car from top to bottom.
The Foxbody Mustang was my first car when I was 17, so as an adult I decided to find the right car and do everything I possibly could that I could not do at 17 years old.While everything was done 4 years ago, I have driven the car less than 1,000 miles driving to a few car shows and keeping it fresh.It mainly sits in my collection with other vehicles and has been driven to a few local car shows including Radwood in 2018.
The car is a true 41k mile car with documentation trailing it on CARFAX, old inspection reports, overall condition and also via previous sale ads and I even have the contact info of the last 2 owners.
It took me over a year to find this car and finally in 2017, I found the right one in Miami, FL, and trailered it back home to Tampa where the refurb process began.
All of work performed was done by C2 Designs in Tampa FL and Ramseys Performance Center.C2 is a custom fabricator and service center for a variety of higher end cars.The owner of C2 is a friend of mine, he maintains my collection of BMW M3s so he enjoyed taking the "Fox" on as a new project in 2017.You can look up their Insta and see the car posted there along with various other cars they specialize in.For all of the tuning, Dyno and final adjustments, this was all performed by the infamous Mustang tuner and service shop of Tampa, Ramseys Performance Center.
ALL documentation is included with the car, all service receipts, records and parts receipts from when I purchased it in 2017.
SOME documentation is included prior to my purchase, including the original Windows Sticker from 1987.
All parts used are new OE parts, new Ford Racing parts or new high quality parts purchased from LMR.Again, no expense was spared when refurbishing this car.Prior to doing ANY modifications, we went through the entire car mechanically and addressed any small leaks, deferred maintenance, fluid changes, bulb changes and anything else the car needed to ensure it was in top condition both mechanically and cosmetically.
The car has absolutely zero rust, and no signs of even the slightest fender bender.It is in truly unique condition for a Foxbody.I was very particular when finding a car with all original panels, no rust and no stories with a clean body.
The car came to me with ALL original paint and body panels.All VIN Tags are in tact, and the original hood wearing the original paint is included with the sale.The cowl hood on the car was purchased new from LMR and was painted to match the car along with the front and rear plastic bumpers.
All of the glass appears to be completely original.
All of the exterior rubber trim is in good to excellent condition.
The wheels and tires were purchased brand new from LMR.The wheels are 17in staggered new 5 Lug Pony wheels and they are in as new condition along with the center caps (continue reading about the 5 lug conversion).
The rear tail lights are original and in mint condition
The front head lights were replaced with OE replacements from LMR
All doors, panels, fenders and roof are original - the hood on the car is an LMR Cowl Hood - the OEM hood is also included with the sale as mentioned with the VIN tag in place.The LMR Cowl Hood fits good, its not a perfect fit like the OE hood, this is me being overly particular but 100% transparent.
When I received the car, the interior was completely original gray cloth.I replaced/upgraded/refreshed the following:
-Interior carpet - it was a dull light gray, I replaced it with OEM LMR Replacement Black Carpet.Prior to replacing this, the old carpet was removed and the frame of the car was completely cleaned and repadded with new materials.All receipts of labor and parts used are included with the sale.
-Seats (original front seats are included) with Corbeau Sport Seats and new rails with new black seatbelts - all purchased from LMR (OE original front seats included with sale)
-New OE Truck Deadner
-Added matching cloth to the door panels and changed the bottom part to OE black cloth from LMR to match the carpet - I understand if this is not everyones taste - it is easily reversible
-Stock steering wheel wrapped w leather to give a chubbier look and feel
-Shifter changed to Ford Racing Hurst Shifter and matching knob
-Head unit upgraded to a 90s looking style that has Bluetooth Audio Streaming keeping the period correct look (OE original headunit included with sale)
-Repaired the coin tray door with OEM parts - works as new.
-Replaced Window Handles with new OE parts from LMR (I used pre 87 handles as I felt they matched better than 87-93)
The interior is very fresh, clean and has an OEM+ feel to it.Other than what is mentioned above, the rest of the interior is very original and works perfectly.The headliner, map light, dash, glovebox and console are all original and in excellent condition for the age.
ALL features are working, the guages are accurate and all internal bulbs, wiring etc. has all been inspected, replaced and refreshed.
Engine and drivetain:
-The motor is the original and a true 41k mile engine.It has also been completely refreshed by C2 and Ramseys over my ownership of the car.There are so many new parts and modifications done to properly hold the added power of the supercharger while to also retain reliability and overall driving quality.
-Once all of the work was performed the car was tuned by Ramsey's Performance and placed on the Dyno - all results and paperwork included and shown.
-NEW Polished Paxton Supercharger Model Nov 1220SL purchased directly from MPE Racing - $2700 - I chose this kit because its a lower PSI, period correct to the car, very reliable and lower maintenance.It looks, sounds and feels great
-New Billet Steel Flywheel
-New SR Performance Billet Smog Pump Elliminator
-New AFR 185cc Aluminum Cylinder Heads
-New drive belts and tensioners
-New AFR Heads, Gaskets, Bolts and Components
-New Ford Racing Harmonic Balancer
-New Ford Racing Idle Control Kit
-Flowmaster Cat Back Exhaust (this was on the car when I purchased it, and of course sounds great)
-X Pipe (this was also on the car at purchase)
-3.73 Gears
-New Ford Racing 70mm Upgraded Throttle Body
-Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator
-New Edelbroch Performer II Intake Manifold
-New Ford Performance LiveWires Performance Distributor & Wires
-The AC System has also been completely refreshed with new parts, refurbished and blows very cold on both settings.
Brakes, wheels and suspension:
-The entire suspension has been completely refreshed and replaced with a new SVE Full Adjustable Coilover Suspension from LMR
-New Maximum Motorsport Rear Control Arms, SVE Upper Shock Bushings, SVE C/C Plates
-SVO 5 Lug 4 Wheel Disk Brake Kit from LMR
-New 17 inch Staggered 5 Lug Pony Wheels and Nitto Tires from LMR
Documentation, History and Paperwork
-If its mentioned above, it comes with documentation and paperwork.Many other small parts, clips, connectors, components and fluids have also been done, refreshed, changed and tested.

The car is located in my air conditioned shop in Tampa FL.I am BMW enthusiast by heart, but I built this Fox to scratch my first itch of driving fast.While I barely drive the car, when I do this gets more attention than any other car I own.You literally cant put gas in it without getting a "Thumbs Up" or "I had one of those back in the day".It truly is a conversation piece and ready for someone else to enjoy.
The title is in hand and is a clear Florida title.
I can assist the buyer with shipping anywhere in the USA, I would strongly suggest only shipping in an enclosed trailer.The car is simply too nice to ship any other way.
Considering the dollars, attention to detail, labor hours and quality parts etc. it would be very difficult to duplicate this car.I would prefer it to go to the right home who can appreciate the work performed and enjoy her for years to come.I know that these Notchbacks do not come up for sale very often.
