Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. The Mustang has been a phenomenon since its introduction in 1964. Considered Fords longest running production car as the nameplate is still used today. With over one million units sold in the first two years the Mustang is truly an American success story. Leading competitors were quick to get into the pony car craze including the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird and AMC Javelin.
Our featured '68 Mustang Fastback is a wonderful example of what a Resto-Mod should be. Sporting all the good looks for the late 1960s with all the modern power and performance we have become accustomed to on the modern world. The car is powered by a very muscular 351 Windsor cubic inch Ford engine linked to a 5-speed Tremec T-5 manual transmission hooked up to a Hurst shifter and attached to a Ford 9 inch 3.50:1 rear end. The Mustang features a deep red metallic paint with dual dark pewter racing stripes. 2+2 style seating with late model tan bucket seats up front finished in a beautiful tan leather and suede upholstery and air conditioning make this car as comfortable to ride in as it is to look at. The owner states the vehicle underwent a frame off rotisserie built with countless upgrades to improve the handling and drivability of this cool pony. Sporting Baer 4-wheel disc brakes, front independent Mustang II suspension, sway bars, and rear leaf suspension. [ omitted ]. Now is the time to become part of the millions of Mustang owners who have experienced the “Pony" legacy. Don't let this sporty 1968 Ford Mustang slip through your fingers.
